Pedestrian killed after being hit on Route 9 is ID’d

Officials have identified the 71-year-old pedestrian killed after being hit by an SUV on Route 9 in Howell over the weekend.
Frank Santomauro, of Howell, was hit on the southbound side near Strickland Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. Saturday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
